Average volume-assured pressure support (AVAPS)

Average volume-assured pressure support AVAPS has been developed to ensure a more consistent tidal volume per breath while delivering the comfort and advantages of pressure support ventilation. AVAPS measures the average tidal volume of your breath and adjusts your IPAP pressure to reach your target tidal volume. It automatically adjusts to disease progressions and helps to maintain optimal patient comfort while supporting patient care and ventilation efficacy and simplifying the titration process.*

AVAPS provides beneficial physiological improvements, resulting in a more efficient decrease of PtcCO2 compared to BPV-S/T therapy alone**, while at the same time automatically provides treatment for PaCO2 reduction.*

AVAPS-AE

This auto-titration mode has the proven performance of AVAPS. It maintains a patent airway and applies an auto back-up rate (automatically trigger a breath when the patient have a central apnea event)

Digital Auto-Trak Sensitivity

With Digital Auto-Track Sensitivity algorithm, DreamStation BiPAP AVAPS collects breathe by breathe information, understand and makes a copy of your  breathing cycle pattern. Digital Auto-Trak will automatically trigger a breath when needed, and is going to adjust therapy pressure if a leakage occurs in order to retain your airways open.

Automated Airway Management (AAM)

DreamStation BiPAP AVAPS machine monitors patients upper airway in any ventilation mode and automatically reacts providing the lowest bi-level pressures to treat the patient’s ventilation needs. With this feature user does not need to fight against the machine during exhalation, enjoining a more comfort therapy.

Two Step Filtration System

Machine comes with a two step filtration system. These Ultra fine filters provides additional filtration and blocks even the smallest particles.

Colored Screen

You can easily set up your DreamStation BiPAP AVAPS machine through its colored screen, via a very user friendly environment. On the same screen you will get your daily reports and feedback about your therapy, AHI, leak events and etc.

Built in Bluetooth and SD card

Machine comes with a built in Bluetooth in order to automatically connect with DreamMapper. DreamMapper app available for both Android and Apple devices, monitors all the critical parameters of your therapy, like AHI, leak, and total therapy time. If you do not have a compatible smart device, you can instead insert an SD Card, which can be used to transfer data to a computer and connect to the DreamMapper website. DreamMapper is not available in all countries. 

Advanced Humidification System (Optional)

DreamStation Heated Humidifier connects directly to DreamStation BiPAP AVAPS machine looks like one device and comes with dry box technology securing that no water will pass from the humidifier to the machine. The humidifier adds humidity to your therapy air eliminating any negative therapy side effects like dry nostrils and mouth, adding extra comfort to your therapy. The heat and moisture level can be set either to Standard (fixed levels) or to Adaptive (auto-adjust heat and moisture levels).

Heated Tube (Optional)

With DreamStation Heated Tube you are going to eliminate any Rainout effects caused in CPAP hose from the difference between therapy air temperature and room temperature. In case the humidifier is not in use, the DreamStation Heated Tube will not heat either, and will work as a standard CPAP hose.
