Lumis 150 VPAP ST is equipped with IntelligentAir, a set of ResMed cutting edge technologies that can tailor therapy to individual breathing needs. Featuring ResMed’s unique Intelligent Volume-Assured Pressure Support (iVAPS) maintains target alveolar ventilation to suit each patient’s changing needs. In combination with intelligent Backup Rate (iBR) and optional AutoEPAP, iVAPS continuously monitors ventilation and the upper airway.

VPAP ST Algorithm with iVAPS

Lumis 150 VPAP ST provides Bilevel pressures for both Spontaneous and Timed modes. iVAPS technology observes each patient’s unique alveolar ventilation, automatically set appropriate targets, then provides smooth pressure support to achieve them.

Intelligent Backup Rate (iBR)

Avaliable in ST or iVAPS mode this device features a manual setting of minimum breaths per minute, known as Intelligent Backup Rate. In case spontaneous breathing reaches 2/3 of minimum breaths per minute setting, the machine automatically adjusts the number of breaths to gradually reach iBR settings.

TiControl

Patients with respiratory problems such as COPD, may experience changes in period between inspiration to expiration, which called cycling. Lumis 150 VPAP ST features TiControl in order to avoid cycling, which monitors the pattern of inhalation and expiration and compares it with TiMax and TiMin machine settings. If the machine detect that user breathing fails outside the used settings, it will automatically change the timing of the delivered inhalation (IPAP) or exhalation (EPAP) air pressure.

TiControl has four adjustment points.

• TiMax (Maximum length of Inhalation)
• TiMin (Minimum length of Inhalation)
• Cycling (Sensitivity level of exhalation)
• Trigger (Sensitivity level for Inhalation)

AutoEPAP

Available only in iVAPS mode, deevice will automatically adjust expiratory air pressure depending on partial or full obstructive sleep apnea disorders.

HumidAir Humidification

This premium device is equipped with built-in heated humidifier. It is designed to add moisture to your therapy air, protecting you from drying out throughout therapy. This leads to less sleep disturbances, helping you to stick with your therapy and enjoy a recharging sleep every night.

Easy-Breathe Motor

Due to Easy-Breathe Motor, Lumis 150 VPAP ST is super quiet, providing a peaceful sleeping environment for you and your bed partner.

Oxygen Compatibility

This device is compatible with up to 15 L/min of supplemental oxygen

Vsync Technology

With Vsync Technology the device monitors mask leaks during the night and counterbalance the delivered air pressure to maintain therapy effectiveness.

Ramp and Ramp Down

With Lumis 150 VPAP ST you can set Ramp Time which is a time period of low pressure before therapy begins and Ramp Down Time which decreases the expiatory pressure gradually when stopping therapy.

SmartStart

Using SmartStart feature there is no need to start and stop the machine through buttons. Just wear your CPAP mask to start therapy, and wear it off to stop.

Full-Color LCD Display

Lumis 150 VPAP ST, features a big colored LCD display equipped with a light sensor in order to auto adjust the backlighting according to the room light. Using My Options menu, you can see your current settings and modify them to suit to your needs. From this menu you are in position to adjust all of the above described functions plus:

• Mask Fit, will notify you with a green smiling face or with a red frowning one, if the mask seal test is ok.
• Mask Type, where you set the type of CPAP mask you use for your treatment.
• Run WarmUp, is pre-heating humidifier water before you start your therapy
• Humidity Level, can be set from zero and to 8 different scales
• Advanced Event Detection, identify different kind of sleep disorders may appear, like central apnea, obstructive sleep apnea, Cheyne-Stokes respiration, helping your physician update easily your therapy protocol.

ClimateLineAir Tubing (Optional)

Lumis 150 VPAP ST, can accept ClimateLineAir Heated Tube in order to keep Humidified therapy air warm as it moves from the machine to your mask, minimizing the possibility of condensation and moisture inside the tube.
